Wrag Barn Club Championships 2025

The sun shone brightly for this year’s Club Championships as 89 competitors took on 36 holes in what turned out to be a fantastic day of golf. With so many players in the field, the standard was high, and as always there were winners and losers – but above all it was a celebration of golf at Wrag Barn.

A huge thank you goes to RCM Catering for sponsoring the event. Thanks also to the competition team for their hard work in running the day, and to all the staff who presented the course beautifully and kept everyone fed and watered.

A family moment

There was a special story in the Nett competition: Ruben Chauhan-Drane won the nett prize, but as he also picked up 3rd gross prize.  As this is a gross competition 3rd gross is recognized as the greater achievement.  A computer glitch in the software meant Christian Stevens missed out on a mention in the prize giving but this has now been duly recognized and his amazing achievement rewarded.  Brian Drane was handed the Net Trophy but in true sporting spirit ensured Ruben would be acknowledged as the true Net Trophy.    

Champion of 2025

We’re delighted to announce that the Club Champion for 2025 is last year’s Junior Captain, Louis McDiarmid. This is a wonderful achievement and very well deserved – congratulations Louis!

To top it all off, as the prizes were being handed out, the Red Arrows made a flypast over the Club – the perfect ending to a memorable day.
